MISSION

NYCA exists to inspire and empower young Australian singers, developing commitment to music and the highest standards of vocal ensemble performance.

PROCESS

NYCA will:

• Create opportunities at state and national levels for young singers to interact and perform with professionals, absorbing skills and attitudes appropriate to the development of professional standards.
• Increase its singers’ awareness, discrimination and appreciation of a wide variety of music.
• Encourage the performance and promulgation of Australian choral music.
• Develop means whereby vocal talent can be identified and trained – in ensemble contexts – to realise its full potential.
• Influence public perceptions and expectations, promoting respect for excellence in choral and vocal arts.
